December 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Opera Update<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\nconsultation with the Club Secretary Jack Birley, and after taking into\nconsideration the probability of further restrictions being imposed after the\nChristmas and New Year festivities, I have decided not to set a new date for\nthe <strong>Sir David Maddison Opera Prize<\/strong> to be performed during January.&nbsp;\n&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As\nsoon as a new date is set for the Opera prize contest, I will circulate full\ndetails to the Club\u2019 s membership, until then thank you all for your patience\nand continued interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mezzo\nSoprano&nbsp;<strong>Naomi Rogers<\/strong> who is one of the RNCM students lined up to\ncontest for the Sir David Maddison Opera Prize has just completed filming a new\nproduction of the opera Cinderella staged by The Northern Opera Group, the\nproduction was well received and met with critical acclaim.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cinderella\nis being screened by the Vimeo performance platform at 2pm on Saturday the 12\nDecember and the following is the link to book your access to watch the\nperformance online;&nbsp; Look out for Molly\nin the chorus on the&nbsp;right of the stage.&nbsp; &nbsp; Molly of course is\nbooked to reappear at the&nbsp;Athenaeum on April 16th next year in a showcase\nperformance that I will be producing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nOpera North Concert.&nbsp;
