Welcome Back To Your Club<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following a busy two weeks during our Annual Closedown, we are delighted to notify you the Athenaeum reopened this week and all services are running as standard.<\/p>\n

The focal point of this year\u2019s Closedown has been the Library Reading Room, and we look forward to Members being able to see and appreciate the Library\u2019s grand make over very shortly. Why not drop in today, 5 September<\/strong>, and see the Library whilst attending the Literature group?<\/p>\n

Proprietor Jutta Hesketh will be giving a talk to the Literature group at 2:00pm, Wednesday 5 September<\/strong>, in the Library Reading Room, full details of the talk can be found below;<\/p>\n

The Official Opening Of The Library Reading Room<\/strong><\/p>\n

May we take this opportunity to invite you to the \u2018official opening\u2019 of the new Library Reading Room on Wednesday 19 September, 5:30pm<\/strong>, at the upcoming Library & Archives Group. Proprietor Dr Janet Hollinshead will be giving a talk to the group titled Two Tudor \u2018Mystery\u2019 Manuscripts. Following the talk a supper will be served at a cost of \u00a312.50 per person (booking required). Further details are to follow very shortly.<\/p>\n

The Library Reading Room is now open for you to view and use, however you may notice furniture is still being moved an reconfigured ahead of Wednesday 19th.<\/p>\n

For Your Information<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Thursday, 13 September<\/strong>, the Newsroom will be closed until 5:00pm to accommodate a private award ceremony. Newsroom services will resume upon reopening, however part of the room will remain set up theatre style following the event, ahead of the Opera the following evening.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday 12 December<\/strong> the Dining Room will be closed to accommodate a private function. The Newsroom will remain open as usual on this day.<\/p>\n
